I have been a firefighter, EMT and canine handler since 1995. I have served on both volunteer and combination departments and recieved my 400 hour certification in 2004. One of my proudest accomplishments was serving as the state SAR coordinator for Kentucky. I have a passion for training in emergency services and I believe in life-long learning. I have served on several technical rescue teams and was deployed to Maryland for hurricane Isabel in 2003 with the Jefferson County Swift Water Rescue team. I have served on Black Mudd Fire Department (Jefferson County), Harrods Creek Fire Department (Jefferson County), Campbellsburg Fire (Henry County), and Kirksville Fire Department (Madison County).
I have two degrees. One is in computer science and the other is in psychology. I enjoy programming websites and IT work. I also enjoy studying REBT (Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy) and I will be pursuing a doctorate in clinical psychology.
